Personal vs Team Workspaces

ExE offers two types of workspaces to meet different collaboration needs.

Personal Workspace (Default)

When you first sign up for ExE, a personal workspace is automatically created for you with the name "{Your Username}'s Workspace".

Characteristics

  • Individual Use: Designed for personal experiments and development
  • No Team Invitations: Cannot invite other team members
  • Private: Only you can access and manage experiments
  • Unique API Key: Has its own API key separate from any team workspaces

Best Use Cases

  • Personal development and testing
  • Proof-of-concept experiments
  • Learning and experimentation
  • Individual research projects

Team Workspaces

Team workspaces enable collaboration and shared experiment management.

Characteristics

  • Multi-User Access: Support multiple team members
  • Role-Based Permissions: Different access levels for team members
  • Shared Management: Collaborative experiment creation and analysis
  • Separate API Keys: Independent from personal workspace

User Roles

Admin Role:

  • Create and manage experiments
  • Invite and remove users
  • Rotate API keys
  • Modify workspace settings
  • View all workspace data

Read-only Role:

  • View experiments and results
  • Cannot create or modify experiments
  • Cannot invite other users

Best Use Cases

  • Production experiments
  • Team projects requiring collaboration
  • Shared analysis and decision-making
  • Cross-functional experiment management
